August 7th - Departure from Portland

John and Bob will meet at Chris's house by 12 pm, probably earlier.  We will leave Chris's house at 12:30 pm in separate cars, as John and Bob will hike in 0.9 miles and stay that night at Road 521.  Driving time to Trout Lake is estimated at 1 hour 50 minutes.  Road 23 from Trout Lake is ~14 miles, ~9 miles paved and ~5 miles gravel.  Assuming 40 miles/hour on paved and 20 miles/hour on gravel, the additional travel time is estimated to be 30 minutes.  Expected time at Road 23, trailhead at Road 8810 is 3 pm.  Ray will drive Chris's car, with Colin's gear in it, back to Portland and keep it until Colin drives it to White Pass on August 12th.

August 13th - Departure from Village Inn (White Pass)

Colin will arrive August 12th in Chris's car.  We will stay at Village Inn the night of August 12th.  Chris will drive her car home in the morning of August 13th.
